As we are gearing up for the final stretch, let’s take a look at one of the so called hardcore CS2 streamer “grinders” who have been consistently pulling in the shots throughout the past months. Among them is Licale. Still water runs deep and belying his calm demeanour, he’s just like his avatar, a dog that will bark and hunt you(enemy) down in every game, hardly giving you an inch to breathe. “Protect the elo” is his motto. In terms of raw skill, game sense and mechanical power, he’s right up there with the very best. He hardly tilts even when losing, a hallmark of an excellent player. He turns tilt into cute. You won’t be far too wrong to frame him among Sweden’s best, ranking among the greats like olof, f0rest, GeT_RiGhT, friberg, HeatoN and flusha. A great addition to any team. Let’s see how he performs when it comes to crunch time(last 2 days before the season ends). We recalled seeing him teach some CS2 pros a lesson or 2 in the past, in his games. Just before we dive into his match that we are about to cover, he’s just started to show some small signs of tilt, in the match that just ended, a sign that the grind is taking its toll, even to the very best! It’s understandable as it was a close game and he was desperately trying to close the elo gap with those at the top of the leaderboard. OMG it’s vs day0s, the OG. Original grinder/Original gangster. A banger of a ‘streamer vs streamer’ match up. Will day0s spoil his party? Guaranteed excitement and anticipation awaits their viewers. A visual treat to behold. 2 of the very best CS2 streamers go head to head. Licale takes first blood at 1-0 on T side. Even though day0s is well 80 ranks and 300 elo below Licale but he isn’t going to just give his elo up that easily without a fiesty fight and Licale knows that for sure. No doubt day0s feels and think he deserves to be in Licale’s position on the leaderboard but it is what is. A different season, a different outcome, swayed by many different factors. Looking good so far at 4-0. Stopped is his tracks at 4-1. It is good that these streamers are not shying away from streaming even though they are fighting at the cream of the crop and be subject to factors like stream snipers, etc, giving enemies and even leaderboard opponents a slight advantage in thse closing stages of the season. Bravo to them for putting up a show for their fans at these last few crucial moments! We’ll be following kashl1d’s match after this! At 9-4 advantage, the win should be a formality, but like Licale himself saying, do not jinx it as they still haven’t won. Things are heating up at 9-6. Come on Licale, you can do it! Don’t let the previous match lost affect you now. 3v1 and team Licale lost. Why didn’t his teammates be more aggresive? A supposedly free round gone to charity. What is going on? Oh, just realized his teammates are mostly 3000 elo. The standard of play is apparent there, throwing away an advantageous position. Licale must be really seething now but as usual no tilt. Let’s hope this match does not end up OT(overtime). It’s now 11-7. Gogogo! Clap clap clap! Triple AK kill by Licale to seal it at 12-7. Great spray control. 1 more round to go! They did it 13-7. Commiserations to day0s!
